can't think of anything
I was recently involved (January) in a car accident that was due to Hypoglycemia. As a result I have had my driving license revoked for a minimum of three months by the DVLA. The Diabetes unit seem reasonably happy that there was a reason for this occurence and that normally my diabetes is very well controlled (Hba1C 6.8). Obviously, I am currently working with them to ensure there is not a repeat.

My accident was quite serious, and although no one else was injured (I fractured my sternum), there was significant financial claims. i was 100% to blame.

Our family car is due for insurance renewal and althoug I am not yet able (or ready) to drive I need advice on how to re-apply for my license and most importantly where I may get insurance once my license is eventually reinstated.

thanks

Simon

Give the DVLA a phone, they will tell you what you need to do next to reapply for your driving licence (what form you need etc)

As to your insurance, shouldn't make an over lot of difference mainly, dealing with if you face losing no-claims bounus's etc... You insurance company will issuse a renewal... I've never worked out whether when applying for insurance that the insurance company just takes your word concerning whether you have vaild driving licence or whether they automatically run it through the DVLA sytems!!

But once you've got your licence back, really shouldn't make any difference getting insurance other than that is faced by anybody who had an accident and renewing there insurance..
