Had to post because I'm so pleased.
BG's have been up the wall for years. Never really had any control.
Been doing the carb counting, at aintree hospital liverpool for 3 weeks
First week was awful.
Everything I thought I knew about nutrition was vague to say the least.
Week 3 BG's two morning on the run
4.3 and 5.8. Setting me up for a day where I didn't rise over 9. This is a massive progression for me.
Still lots to figure put but hey I'm pleased with that

hba1c has never been lower than 11. Next blood rest February. Fingers crossed for a 9.

Wow, you are now beginning to see good results, we can all take heart from your experiences ,and it shows that we need to be more careful with our portion control and diet, well done!

4-6 fasting is a big step to normal range

if you find yourself getting hungry and cold, add a bit of olive oil or real butter, much better idea than adding back carbs

Fantastic feel really pleased for you. You may still get anomalous readings even with carb counting but you just have to put these to one side and not get disheartened if it goes wrong. But well done and keep up the good work!
