Hi @Bailie 67 I’m afraid you haven’t given us enough information for us to offer any informed suggestions. You haven’t said which type of diabetes you have - or which medications you are on. That information will fundamentally affect the answers you receive, because it affects how much carbohydrate your body can tolerate, and whether your medications will help to control blood glucose. Different types of diabetes may be treated in different ways. It would really help if you completed the Personal Details section of your profile, so that members have an idea of your situation. As for carb intake... which part of the world do you live? Some countries count carbs and fibre together on their food packaging (e.g. America), while others (e.g. UK) separate the fibre out before counting. You mentioned ‘of which sugars’, but the reality is that starchy carbs and sugars affect the blood glucose in very similar ways. There is no point counting just the sugars, when the other carbs (but not the fibre) will hit the blood and raise the blood glucose in the same way. So count all the carbs, not just the sugars. Hope that helps :)
