Carbonated (fizzy) water

I'm trying to increase my water intake, and I really prefer fizzy bottled water to tap water (I've never drunk much water). Because it tastes much sweeter, I'm wondering if it has higher sugar than tap. I know they don't add anything to the water, but does spa or spring water have more sugar in it naturally? Can't find any info on this.

TIA

Plain spring water is fine and has zero carbs, the flavoured spring water be careful with as some do contain sugar, check the nutritional info on the bottle label if in doubt.

I have never liked water much either. I much prefer tea....

After my Type 2 diagnosis I bought 12 big bottles of Tesco Everyday Value carbonated water and keep a bottle beside me and I am now drinking 1 litre per day. I now limit myself to 2 cups of tea a day and it hasn't been half as bad as I thought it was gonna be. Me and tea have a very special relationship.

However... Looking at the label on the bottle in very small writing it says it is tap water.

Del Boy and Rodney immediately sprung to mind... The Peckham Spring story.

Anyway I still buy it as it is only pennies per bottle. And the other advantage is it dulls the appetite.
