Carborexia?

Good old Daily Mail :lol:

My son came in at 1am this morning and tried to tell me the Olympics had been cancelled for security reasons......didn't work even though I had a few brandy's by that time
 
I haven't heard of this one but i have heard of DIAREXIA. I must admit i tried this but got a bit scared so stopped. DIAREXIA is when you stop taking you meds and work out. This causes weight loss but is VERY DANGEROUS. Before diagnosis i lost nearly 2 dress sizes in 2 months because i was still swimming and going gym with very high sugar levels. I didn't know i had it so was not done on purpose. I did end up in hospital very poorly with ketones. Now i have put so much weight on due to loads of different meds i got desperate. Luckily memory kicked in on how ill i felt and that scared me enough to stop.
 
That article is absolute rubbish. I'm pretty sure I read the survey of different diets and the one that won hands down on weight-loss, blood lipids and no drop-outs was Atkins.
I'm a low carber, but i don't have a nervous breakdown if I eat a cubic inch of cake or a single biscuit, and I have my one bit of LIDL dark hazelnut chocolate every evening.

I really don't know why I read it....I think it's a form of self-harm :lol: , I like reading the property pages of Country Life too!

It made me laugh. Almost as much as hearing Andrew lansley on TV say something about diabetics would have a Named docor and specialist. I only heard that in passing and it may be totally inaccurate but given the reaction of all the Drs in my practice when confronted by a "diabetic" [shock horror , calls for the nurse} II couldn't help but laugh.
On the other hand , I already know their names! maybe i will make an appoinmen and tell the "named one" hat I am suffering from carborexia!
 
i was reading this in a coffee show...me and bf had a laugh when it reminded us ladies that men can suffer from it too so we needed to share the info with the men in our lives. :crazy:
