I've just been reading the Carbs and Cals book but it doesn't list sugars. This seems unhelpful to me. For example, white toast with butter and honey is only about 15g of carbs. I know that I can't eat honey. Similarly, bananas are about 15g of carbs and I know that they would spike my blood sugars, so don't eat them now. Can anyone tell me the best way to use this book, please? I notice that this has been commented on, on Amazon.
I’ve never used the book myself, however I just looked sample pages on Amazon. We always say here to ignore ‘sugars’ in food info. and just look at the carbs, as the sugars should be included in the carb number. I’m guessing this is how this book works. Maybe someone who is more familiar with the book will comment further?
Edit to add, sorry I just noticed this is your first post. Welcome to the forum!
I agree with previous posters. I use the carbs & cal app. I refer to the carbs when carb counting. If you read packaging it includes sugar along with the carbs. Therefore no need look for amount of sugar
