Yes I will definitely make a curry.Havent made one since diagnosis and I miss it . Never ate much rice so that shouldnt be quite so hard.Bowl is a good ideaPersonally, I mainly just have the curry, but if one isn't going to be having the rice, one can have more of the tasty curry (and not plain, flavourless rice).
For meals like those, I've swapped using flat plates to using a bowl, or pasta dish with a decent lip on it, so that the curry doesn't run all over the plate, and it makes it easier to capture the delicious sauce that tends to be left on the plate at the end of the meal.
It works for me.
Sounds goodGem squash, baked with lashings of butter on top is just as good as baked spud but less stodge.
I don't eat any rice because I don't think a little spoonful is worth bothering with. As above, you can make a spiced mashed cauliflower substitute (recipe on here somewhere) basically with onion, garlic, turmeric, cumin, coriander, whatever complements the curry. And go with any green veg you like (broccoli?). And raita (cucumber, yoghurt, lemon, coriander) to cool it. Likewise a little tomato & mild onion salad. And/or a chapati substitute if you experiment with gram and/or almond flour to make a sort of pancake. Or phoopsies, they might go well (search on here).Sounds good! I will make a veggie version !
