Does anyone know if there is a card I can carry to state I'm a type 2 diabetic and what meds I am on. I have just come out off hospital for blood clots on both lungs. I have been told to carry a card with my details on ie name address telephone number next of kin etc. So I was wondering if there is such a card for a diabetic
Some of the bg meter company's provide the cards free of charge or you can buy them (or medical ID jewellery) on-line, if you look on the main website of Diabetes.co.uk I'm sure you'll find some there to purchase.

There is the idbandco.com they do this sort of card, I carry one as I can't take Morphine and some other medications, its plastic coated and the size of a credit card, they are very nice and the turn round is fast.

My brother has an "SOS" bracelet, that has a capsule on it where you can put all your info. He got it from Boots, but I'm sure I've seen them online. If you have an iPhone it also has a Medical ID Card screen, which can be seen from your lock screen. I use this, as it's very quick and easy to update the details.
I have a medical app thing on my phone ..it can be viewed without unlocking the mobile phone .. Also the diabetes.co.uk have an online shop ... Support the site http://www.diabetes.co.uk/shop/
I have a medical necklace because, I work with my hands, and I received a card with that I carry in my wallet, as I can't have any glucose for hypos.
