Cardboard Tongue

Hi ,I am taking medication (Risidon 1000mg) for type 2 diabetes and during the night I wake up with a dry mouth and tongue that feels like cardboard.Drinking water does not alleviate the problem,however drinking even a mouthful of Coca-Cola does.Is this because I have low blood sugar level and need a boost?.

Any help on this issue would be most appreciated ..Thanks

There's a plethora of possibilities, only way to eliminate low blood sugar would be to test.
