It's that time of year again shortly, when someother countries celebrate the 5 days before Ash Wednesday. It starts on Women's Thursday and goes on til midnight Tuesday. In southern germany they call it Fastnacht:
And in the Rheinland they call it Karneval. There are parades and impromptu parties everywhere. This one in the railway station:
What do we do in the UK? Flippin pancakes, and as diabetics, we can't even eat them.
