Anybody got a natty discreet way of carrying pens testers needles etc. Thinking of when on hols is a man bag the only way??

No not the only way by any stretch - there are plenty of purpose designed carry cases available on Amazon, eBay and even from the shop on this website. These often have some thermal insulation or cooling ability to stop insulin getting too warm.

You can also stick your pens in a Frio Travel wallet. This is something that many of us here use to keep insulin cool. I then use a cheap black pencil case from W H Smiths for everything else.

could use a camera style bag if you want something small and discrete, would still need a trio pack or similar to keep meds cold

There are lots of cases on Amazon but please be aware if you get next day prime delivery you could then be charged almost £80 for the privilege of next day free delivery. You have to cancel your " prime" part of the offer within about 14-28 days. Its we'll worth looking at this before you order. Also if your diabetes includes insulin or diabetes sugar lowering medication you are allowed to claim V.A.T. Exemption Its all listed on Amazon website. Also the Frio wallets are included and indeed any medical aid you purchase should be V.A.T. Exempt.I still use the Frio wallets from 10 yrs ago on my travels into Spain at the hottest times of the summer. You must always keep the Frio wallets on the outside of you bag case you purchase as the Frio wallets need to 'breath' to keep them cool .

I have used a pencil case to put all my diabetic kit in when I don't need to keep my Insulin cooler than about 20 degrees .There are some good inexpensive cases in Staples the store that sells computers printers A4 copy paper and the likes. Also pound land may have a good pencil case. I tend to use a clear plastic pencil case mostly because it's easy to check you have all your supplies with you. Also a clear ladies markup bag is also another inexpensive way to store all your Diabetic gear.

I have a camera type bag.......I was hoping to be able to use something smaller. Trouble is there is so much to carry along with other medications I take. I work away a lot so tend to carry a weeks worth. Think for hols I should look st something that carries just a days worth and not a 190gram bag of jelly babies

Hey, if you use eBay look up aidabilty and they sell a range of useful stuff.

Elite multi compartment cool bag for insulin and diabetic supplies £25.99

I've got 1 and it's worth the money, hope this helps

This is one of mine. It's a Tumi Alpha 2 Split Travel Kit. Unfortunately, Tumi isn't very cheap but their quality is top notch and meant to last a lifetime.

I also own several of the Amazon cases and they're good quality for the price. However, Tumi is on a whole different level.

If you go out for the day when on holiday what do you do with this?
That's more for when I travel/fly.

When I go out for the day I wear a blazer/sport coat and keep my insulin pen and needle tip in the inside jacket pocket. The same goes for my glucometer, test strips, and accuchek lancet device.

When I'm with my girlfriend, she inherits all of my supplies and keeps them in her purse. When I'm at work, I just keep everything in my briefcase.

I have one of these for when I need to carry everything: http://www.medisave.co.uk/elite-fits-isothermal-diabetics-bag-p-100802.html

Long story.

I'm in the US and my doctor wanted to get me on the Expert meter, but my insurance wouldn't cover the test strips (at first). The Roche sale rep would send me free (that's a big deal here) test strips to make sure I wasn't using my OneTouch Verio meter. In one of the packages, she included that orange silicone cover.

Unfortunately, I can't find them anywhere online. Long story short, I'm not sure if you can get in contact with a Roche representative, but their customer service (at least here) is phenomenal.
