So my endocrinologist had his assistant tape a CGM device on my arm yesterday, that I’m to wear for 3 days. Only thing is, it fell off after 1 day. All she said is “if it falls off put it in a plastic bag, but it won’t fall off so don’t worry.” My question is- is there any further steps I must take to fully remove this thing from my body? I don’t seem to see anything on my skin anymore, but is something, like a needle or tube stuck in there I should be concerned about? There’s what looks like a tiny “L” shaped wire sticking out of the device so I’m assuming that’s like the tube or something that was collecting my blood while it was still on me..?
What a shame it fell off. Don't worry, there's nothing left in. I've used a libre sensor for about 18 months. Only one has fallen off. I think I've been lucky to be honest. You can get protectors. Not sure how effective they are (I've never used them) but I expect they do their job. Good luck with the next one.
Hello @rickydoo, I've only used a libre, but I would have thought that the bent bit is the bit that was meant to go into your skin, but has bent instead, was there any pain/blood/a puncture wound? Do you know what brand the CGM is?
