CGM - Where do you wear yours ?

Being a skinny type 1 - I have same problem as Diabeticger - lot's of bleeding on eightpack stomach(skinny), suggest any bingowing/underarm area with extra loose skin fat or bottom(bum) the flabby area. Hope you've managed to find suitable area's.I understand the frustration, but it's better than syringes and blood testing. Type 1 nearly 45 years

Hi there.
With regard to your sensor being dislodged, I do two things to help with that. Being quite hairy, I shave my arm where I am going to place my sensor before applying it. Secondly, after application, I slide a 6" length of 'tubigrip' bandage over it for a couple of hours. I also place the bandage over it when I am going to bed then remove it when I get up, and also wear it if wearing a T shirt when going out to help with accidentally dislodging the sensor. Hope this helps.

I am finding this interesting, I wanted Dexcom because of the variety of sites it could be placed, but Cambridge would only fund the Libre 2 plus. I am 72 and have trouble/pain with both my shoulders and find it difficult placing the Libre on the back of my arms and the Omnipod in sight of it. I'm going to try different placements for my Libre now, wish me luck.

I have put the Libre on in several different spots and it's been fine. (I use it as a second add on for swimming) You can also use the front of the arms, or off side on the front of the arm, just make sure to avoid directly over the muscle! That can hurt! Since I restart my Dexcom's, I prefer the front, off to the side a little of the arm placement, as it makes it easier to take out the transmitter and pop it back in.

There are videos on utube about different areas people place Libre's, some even rate how the different spots are in accuracy. I use the love handle area constantly with Skin Tac to make sure it stays on. Not an approved site of course but it seems to work fine on me. But it might not for others.

I sleep on my side & I only have 2 options the left or right arm due to having no fat or should I say very little fat on my body due other health condition. So I place my Patch tucked in almost approaching armpit that way if I turn in sleep it does not get caught.

I was but they didn't ever stick well. Plus I'm not steady on my feet so I kept walking into doorways.
If you get patches from Amazon to cover the sensor it shouldn’t matter. I am unsteady in my feet and also walk into door frames but since I have started using them it hasn’t been a problem
