I have read that chia seeds help regulate blood sugars and would like to know more. I am a type 2 without medication but creeping towards the inevitable medication. I am keen to hear people experiences on if this will help and how it is best used. I have read a lot on chia but would welcome real experiences or thoughts. I like the idea of managing through food. I did try them but didn't notice any discernible difference.
I did get better results ( particularly with a problematic tightness around left knee) from flaxseed.
All them omegas I reckon
Can't hurt to try the chai seeds though, I think burgen do a loaf with them in if that helps.
But it has to be cassia cinnamon not ceylon.
And there's the courmarin to worry about which although negligible still concerns me.
Ironically the ceylon cinnamon- which has little effect- has hardly any.
It's a toxic substance to the liver and is found in the bark.
The good news is making a tea from it, thereby keeping the powder in the bag or sieve, gives you all the health benefits whilst retaining the bark containing courmarin.
I personally have persevered with Cinnamon as described above and it really has no effect on me unfortunately.
Whereas Fenugreek, gave me noticable results within a week.
