I just wanted to reach out to anyone who has woken up feeling depressed, tired or generally unwell due to the changing weather and shorter days. This can be a difficult time of year if you are affected by the changing seasons and dread the winter months.
Personally, I have woken up feeling a bit low and my joints have begun to ache. It's very dreary in Yorkshire today (if you're sunning yourself in Australia, keep it to yourself!)
Does anyone else experience a downturn in their health in the Autumn/Winter?

Yes, I can empathize with that. Time to get the light-box out.

Must admit I have twinges of pain to and am blaming the change in the weather....but they say we will have another heat wave soon and am hoping it hurries up before it is too late laughs

Seasonal Affective Disorder doesn't start up for me for a while. Might should think about a lightbox. Does the lightbox help you, nancyb? Full spectrum is nice, too, no?

Maria, it is common for twinging and pain with weather changes with osteo and rheumatoid arthritis and at sites of old injuiries, microcalcification areas, areas of Baker's cysts, misicus tears, and etc. Low atmospheric pressure , too

Yes, it does seem to be changes in air pressure that affect me, rather than the lack of sunlight. I think more research is being done in this area now and it would be really great if they could come up with something to counteract it as it does get to me quite badly. I do have a light box, but don't feel I need to use it yet. However, for those who feel very down in the winter I've heard that it's best to start early with your light box.
