Change of long lasting

I have just been told by my specialist I should change my long lasting insulin I am going from lantus solostar 100units/ml to Toujeo 300units/Ml

I asked if should keep units the same which is 24 units they said yes but I am now worried because the units and ml is difference.

Any advice would be grateful.
 
From the horses mouth :
"Switch from LANTUS 100 U/mL to TOUJEO  Insulin glargine 100 units/mL and TOUJEO are not bioequivalent and are not directly interchangeable. When switching from LANTUS® (insulin glargine 100 units/mL) to TOUJEO, the starting dose of TOUJEO can be the same as the LANTUS, but a higher daily TOUJEO dose may be needed to achieve target ranges for plasma glucose level."

It sounds like equivalent units is a good starting point, but will need fine tuning.
I've been on neither.

Welcome to the forum.

Are you Type 1 or 2?
Are you prescribed this with a fast acting insulin?
Are you prescribed any other diabetes medication.?

If you are unsure about your new meds. You realy need to get back to your HCPs to clarify..

Type 1 she did tell me to do same but with it saying 300 units/ml if it makes a difference
