Hi. Has anyone else discovered as that the foods they used to eat freely without their BG peaking now cause them problems? I used to be able to eat a lot of foods I no longer can and I am more tollerant now with foods I couldnt eat before. I have been diabetic for 19 years and I can no longer eat Rice, Cous Cous, certain types of white bread (I avoid it mostly anyway) pastry, pasta, and many more. I never have been able to eat baked potatoes, chinese food and now I find Thai food is bad (probably monosodium glutamate?). Does anyone else have problems with these foods?

Not really, although I don't eat white bread or pastry now. When I do eat the others you have mentioned, I eat the in much reduced portions and opt to have plenty of veg with them.

Hi Maryrachel, do you carb count? I can relate as I used to find that certain foods which one day were fine for me to eat suddenly caused a spike but now I carb count and can usually still eat them and stop the spike with the correct amount of novorapid (although I do have a small list of foods that I know I can dose less than the recommended amount otherwise I find I go hypo).
