Not had my pump that long and I've only changed the battery once in the pump. Just wondered whether its best to change the battery regularly without a low battery warning or whether you usually wait till you get a warning? Roughly how long do you find the battery lasts? DSN recommended changing it once a month regardless of whether it needed changing so wondered whether more experienced users follow this or not? Also do you adopt the same rule for the meter?

Thanks!!

I do what I'm told and my DSN and Medtronic pump rep said to change the battery when the warning alarm came up so that's what I do. Normally every 4-6 weeks. Same with meter - I wait for the little low battery sign to come up. Now that I'm on the contour Next link meter I just have to put e USB end into my computer - very handy.
