Changing careers.

Hi guys. This is not a diabetic related question, but just wanted to know if anyone has changed careers later in life. I'm nearly 40. And have spent the last 13 years raising my kids. Now the youngest is 8 and i have some time to spare I've decided to do a online course in health and nutrition, at first I was doing it to gain knowledge and be able to help myself and family live healthier and longer. But now I'm thinking it could lead to a new direction in my life.
Has any of you done something similar.
