The karate example was just this weeks example. I was on holiday and travelling at silly times so was up at 2 and 4 in the morning and good blood sugars. Even speaking to the diabetic nurse several months ago suggested cutting down my Lantus to get rid of the morning highs. It's just recently the evening has went high. I've been diabetic for 38years on the 2 insulin types for 29/30 years and karate for 10 years. So I've got plenty of experience of juggling it all just it's not playing by the rules at the moment. Anyway I increased my dinner injection by 2 to try combat the high later and it crashes meaning I ended up eating more it did rise to 15 before bed and it was 11 this morning. Let's see how the rest of the day goes
