Still puzzled at differences between cooked and non cooked for net carb content. so all below is based on non cooked.
pastry (15g)
200g almond flour net carbs 15g
80ml olive oil. net carbs 0
large pinch salt 0
pinch oregano. ~0
filling (19g)
6 large eggs net carbs ~3g
100g cottage cheese ~4g
200ml double cream (morrisons is 1.6g per 100ml) = 3.2g
approx 3 teaspoons dried chives just shake out til looks enough then add a little extra on top. fresh is ~2g per 100g weight.
clove garlic net carbs ~1.5g
large pinch salt 0g
~1/2 teaspoon ground pepper ~net carbs 0.5g
pinch smoked paprika, large pinch chilli powder. small pinch nutmeg (helps the cheese flavour)
half white medium onion net carbs 6g
200g block orkney mature cheddar 0.2g net carbs grated
Instructions:
Pre heat oven 180degrees
blend pastry ingredients roll out evenly to fit pie dish lined with baking sheet and a little oil/butter. cut off any excess around edges.
pierce every so often with fork.
blind bake 15 mins ( I put another pie dish on top alongside something to weigh it down so keeps relatively even without loads of bubbles and pastry depth is consistent when cooked.)
Allow pastry to cool.
Filling:
whisk the large eggs add cream whisk until nice and smooth, add rest of ingredients saving some of grated cheese for the top mix well.
bake 20mins. add some more dried chives sprinkle remaining cheddar ontop place back in oven until cooked (approx 25 mins more) allow rest for 5 mins or so before cutting.
what else do you add to yours or do differently? i probably slightly overcooked it tonight still tasted yummy
