Chinese New Year2019 - Year of the pig

I was watching Aunty Beeb last night, and they carried a report on the Chinese New Year celebrations, Pretty standard stuff. but then they added a twist to the article, Describing how this morning the citizens of that country are waking up to not only a hangover, but to banner headlines in their papers screaming out to the effect. 'Don't pig out, Meat consumption to be halved by 2030 with complete removal of pork by 2050. Government declares pledge to introduce measures to make this happen this year. Oh what lucky pigs!'

Now the online BBC website does not report this but there is evidence it is not fiction.

So it starts now. I thought Indonesia or Brazil would be the first to fall,

According to ABC the Chinese government are censoring the word "PIG" because "We need to avoid talking about pigs' to respect Muslims".
