I cannot stop eating chocolate. I crave it! I try not to buy it but somehow it ends up coming home with me! I nave been diabetic, type 2, for over 20 years. I have never had this problem to this extent. I have a sweet tooth. My BMs are around 7mmols. Anybody had this problem? As anyone got any advice? Thank you for reading.

Hi Not unusual. Others have mentioned high percentage choclate eg Morrisons 85%. Once a day I take a 20th of a bar Crunch it in my mouth then melt it in to a ball and suck on the ball. The chocolate has to live in a place i never look eg (a saucepan).
Or find something else very low you can have instead, which is within your permited carb/sugar allowance instead.
It can take 2 -3 weeks to come off choc and succeeds if choc never darkens your door
