I AM 11 YEARS OLD.

Your Mum is right you can have a little after meals now and again but not too much!
I like branflakes with raisins or yoghurt and fruit for breakfast depends if I've got a busy day or a quiet one - if its quiet I tend not to eat too many carbs it will push your sugars up!

Hi Millie - one girl with 5 brothers - that makes you very special. We have 5 sons, but our only girl died in her pram at 3 months. We then waited over 30 years for a granddaughter.

I have a porridge recipe made from oats, oat bran, wheat germ, wheat bran, dried apricots ... all cooked in the microwave. I am retired & have time to mess about .... Because porridge thickens on cooking, rather than being stuck together with sugar, it has lower carbs & calories than the cold cereals.

Rather than settle for the easy high carb cereals, you could "milk" your condition rather than the cereal & ask for a "proper" breakfast of back bacon, egg, baked beans, quality sausages.

If you can get that every morning, your brothers will love you .
 8)

I used to cycle 5 miles to school, & several times fainted soon after arrival. I was told to have a proper breakfast rather than cereal - they said my mother was negligent - though the truth was I stayed in bed as long as possible, & only had time for cereal.
