That is higher than they like for a diabetic, but what are important are the constituent parts of the cholesterol.
HDL,LDL and Trigs. It is possible to have a high cholesterol reading but still be good cholesterol.

i read somewhere it has a lot of side effects
thanks for help

I use Simvador without any side effects. Advice from the Consultant was to go back if I suffered side effects and she would prescribe an alternative statin or an alternative non-statin that reduced cholesterol. Don't be put off by the scare stories, I was bothered with the volume of apparently unhappy chappies posting on the web but at the end of the day I reasoned that there are more people taking the tablets and not reporting side effects than those who have problems - the silent majority. But remember, if you do suffer from any side effect go back to the Doc/Consultant and ask for an alternative.

The good:bad ratio on my last test was 2:1.
