Choosing new insulin pump

My Medtronic 640g pump runs out of warranty and DSN has contacted me to say that I'm due for pump upgrade with the following choices;
  1. Medtronic Minimed 780G pump
  2. Omnipod Dash Patch Pump
  3. Tandem T:Slim X2 pump
  4. Advanced Therapeutic Dana i insulin pump
Which pump would be the best to go for?

Is the T:Slim X2 pump good? Does this pump have the IQ function when it corrects if sugars starting to go high?
Is the Medtronic 780g good?
As I think I'm leaning towards the T:Slim X2 pump?

I live in Scotland and also use a Libre 2.

I see the Dexcom can be linked to the T:Slim X2 pump for CGM, is that correct?

The t:slim does have both Basal IQ and Control IQ as well as operating as normal pump. Both the IQ's need the Dexcom CGM.

Do a search on this site for the Dana pump, there are a few users.
 
I recommend making a list of what is important to you.
The ones you have highlighted (T-Slim and Medtronic) are both tubey pumps so you are probably not interested in a patch pump like OmniPod.
Is size important to you?
Are you expecting to get funding for Dexcom?
Are you interested in looping?
Do you want a tried and tested pump (for another 4 years) or are you willing to be more cutting edge?

There are more things to consider but the answer will be different for everyone of us because we live different lives. But if you work out what is important to you, there are plenty of people who can help you with the features and requirements that are important to you.
