Why not eat the real thing?Hello
I am new to this site.
I saw an episode on Driv-ins- Diners and Dives.
It was about a restaurant in Arizona.
They featured a Chorizo made from a vegetable .
Did anyone see the show on this.
Guy said it was the best and tasted just like the rel thing.
Thank you
Joe

Not at all, stay and explore. It was a genuine question. Of course we all have our different tastes but your question didn’t seem to relate directly to diabetes or explain the rationale for seeking an “alternative”Sorry, for asking.
I am on the wrong site for diabetics.
I will get off this site as fast as I can unregister
Keep in mind we are all different with different taste and cures.

As the only “blunt” comment left undeleted I’d just like to point out that the reason for wanting alternatives to the the real thing could have been for other reasons not just vegetarianism and the comment was not disregarding or inconsiderate or negative. It was in fact a question seeking more information. Please don’t make your own assumptions about my intentions.Hi, @Joe M , please stay a bit longer!
We're not all as blunt as the above reactions suggest! If you prefer not to eat meat for whatever reason that's perfectly fine. One of our forum rules states that "Diet is a relevant, but sensitive topic and should be treated as such. Please be considerate to other people’s dietary choices.".
If you feel a post is breaching that rule, please use the report button and it will be looked into.
While we have quite a lot of members liking meat because it's very nutritious while also having no carbs, we have many vegetarian members as well! You may want to have a look at the vegetarian diet section: https://www.diabetes.co.uk/forum/category/vegetarian-diet-forum.71/

You're right, and I'll send you a pm to not derail this thread further. That won't help @Joe M if he returns. It was in fact a question seeking more information. Please don’t make your own assumptions about my intentions.
