Hi allI will be staying with my mum
Just pray you don't open a 'mother in law' joke in your Christmas crackerJust because I am bored and VERY nosey (lol)
What's everyone doing on Christmas Day?
We are having the mother in law and my brother round for lunch.
Hehehe gives you an excuse to really slap her (between the shoulder blades I mean lol@Cumberland I am usually the 1 coming out with the mother in law jokes anyway.
We have a love/hate relationship, we LOVE to HATE each other.
I honestly wouldnt mind if she choked on a turkey bone, as long as she didnt make a mess of my table hahaha
Hmm guess you like Champagne then"Miss! Miss! She said the C-------- word"!
Smoked salmon, quails' eggs and Buck's Fizz for breakfast
Presents and Champagne
Fairly trad. lunch but our "kids" (18 & 21) won't eat sprouts or Christmas Pudding so they usually have peas and Viennetta instead. I have a small bit of Christmas pud but brandy butter's a no-no nowadays. I don't have Champagne because I've usually moved on to an agreeable Saint Emilion by then, but Mrs hay-char sticks manfully to it. The turkey has to have "had a nice life" because the family demands it but given the cost, I am thinking of getting a Lidl economy job and nicking a Copas Norfolk Bronze box from our local posh butcher's waste bin to put it in, mwahahaha. Small glass of Sauternes with the pud. Maybe some Champagne afterwards
Cup of tea in front of the telly, late afternoon. Anybody who can manage a bit of Christmas cake at this point is a better man/woman than me, Gunga Din, but it has been known. Maybe a drop of Champagne.
Mid/late evening: some cheese, nuts, cold turkey and other nibbles. This needs something to wash it down. Champagne, maybe?
Nightcap: Horlicks or tea. Or Champagne; did I mention that?
Hmm hope my DIL doesn't look on me like that, we have both worked really hard to build our relationship. Even though we have our moments it's soon forgotten,Hehehe gives you an excuse to really slap her (between the shoulder blades I mean lol)
Yes, we are looking forward to seeing the kidsHmm guess you like Champagne thenand what turkey has a nice life knowing he's likely to end up on someone's meat plate accompanied by his friends Peppa Pig & Donald Duck or The Cow who jumped over the moon or even Doc McStuffins Lammie my family don't like turkey so it's beef & gammon for us. My Son & his wife love Champagne & we will no doubt be offered it on Boxing Day. Whatever is eaten or drunk it's family time that matters and imagine you & Mrs Hay-char are looking forward to your kids being back home
Santa knows what you are talking about, CHRISTMAS ..Thought it finished weeks ago! And why are you not in Santa's Grotto packing Elves

The turkey argument gets re-enacted every year. Everyone else wants a turkey that's had a nice life, I always point out that its life became not so nice when s/he got hoicked up onto the conveyor belt and carried towards the rotating knives.... however, by this time everyone's had a few glasses of Champagne () and they've ceased to care
My MIL is fine no complaints...............yet LOLDo I really need a reason?? Lol
