Evening all, i hope you are all doing well. I was diagnosed diabetic on 6th January 2016 with a hba1c of 10.2/88. Confirmed Type 1 and Insulin Resistant on 12th February 2016 with a hba1c of 9.5/80. Today - 10lbs lighter, sticking to LCHF (the only change to eating lifestyle i have ever stuck to) with reduced blood pressure (6th Jan 2016 was 119/82, 2nd March 2016 was 113/78) and a hba1c of 46/6.4!!! (my target for April was 7.5/59!) i appreciate that i am defo honeymooning but still not fast acting insulin - aiming to keep away from that as long as possible. I cannot say how much i have truly appreciated the responses i have had to my posts, for the bed time reading research information from those who are truly in the know and the kind words offered to each other that can be read and relied upon in the lonesome low times. For those of you that put so much of your time, experiences, knowledge and personal information to help us novices - you are providing untold amounts of help and i think you all deserve the best in life for your selflessness! you make having a "disease" feel far less scary and daunting! now i have some cholesterol and triglyceride results i am going to continue my reading to understand them and work out whether i'm good or bad! ;) (Total Cholesterol = 5.4, Total cholesterol hdl ratio = 4.1, HDL = 1.3, LDL = 3.7) Thanks for allowing me to share!
