Hi, I grow veg and some fruit. At some point during the summer there is always a glut and when there is as well as freezing I make jams and chutney. I was just wondering if anyone might have any low carb/sugar recipes to share.

I've found one for jam online but nothing for chutney so far.

I love chutneys and relishes, so am found peering at the carb count of boutique relish brands in the supermarket aisle, often. I find, as well as being the lowest carb kinds of chutneys - a little goes a long way.

Looking at recipes online, the key is sugar substitution/alternatives. And therefore, homemade is not as longlasting, I think. But maybe that's not an issue! Or, it can be frozen in batches to take out at intervals. The recipes look wonderful, in terms of yummy ingredients, and all friendly to low-carbing. Take your pick! Ditto with sugar substitutes/alternatives.

thank you for the reply. I’ll check the labels in some of the local delis and farm shop. The Chatsworth one might be a good place to start.

But as you say, I fear making jams or chutney without sugar is going to mean they won’t store. I’m going to have to come up some other way of making use of the produce. More freezing may be the answer.
