Hi I have recently been diagnosed with type 1 and since being diagnosed I have been suffering with severe pain in my feet, particularly at night. Symptoms include sharp shooting pains, pins and needles and numbness. Is this normal and is there anything I can do? Thanks

You need to see your gp or diabetes consultant and have your feet examined William.

Thanks For the reply Just had feet checked by Dr and all seems to be okay seen the specialist in the middle of March on painkillers now but nothing seems to help slightly despondent with all having pins and needles all day and serious shooting pains when I relax in the evening
