Try mixing the oils and cinnamon with low fat/sugar yoghurt.Much nicer.The virginia harvest stuff is the best tasting one out there.ATSBod said:Hi, all
I was diagnosed as Type II just before Christmas 2007.
My BP was 204/88 (!) and by BG was 10 (12 hour fasting). The doctor's initial diagnosis - "you may have a problem!". He has a somewhat droll sense of humour :shock:
He started me on the following: Ramipiril (5mg), Amlodipine (10mg), Simvastatin (40mg) and Metformin x 2 (500mg) per day, plus Aspirin (75mg).
BP is currently down to about 150/78 and BG about 7.2 as of the latest test (27/03/2008).
I started taking the old Cricket Bat Juice about a fortnight ago now - too soon to tell whether or not it's making any difference yet, I think. I take about 45ml (3 tablespoons) a day, with skimmed milk and cinnamon (recommended elsewhere) and I don't really mind the taste of it, although the cinnamon tends to make it somewhat bitter. I am also trying to avoid all trans fats, of course.
The stuff I use is from Holland & Barrett but I might try the one that Virginia Harvest sell next (it's supposed to taste better :?: ).
I will keep this thread updated as often as I can regarding the outcome of the "Cure". 8)
Cheers,
... Jim

HbA1c = 6.4 (was 7.7 originally)
BS = 6.0
Cholesterol = 2.4
BP = 136/74
Kidney / liver functions normal.
Simvastatin now reduced from 40mg to 20mg daily.
All heading in the right direction so far.
Still taking the bat-potion :wink:
