CKD or anything else?

Hi All,

I am type 2 diabetic from the past 10 years. Recent CT scan showed a Staghorn Kidney stone of 2.5cms and two stones of 7mm. Mother and Sister were type 1 and passed away due to kidney failure in their 30's.
I am currently 37 and have always taken Metformin(4 tablets).
Last year in August, I was prescribed Sitagliptin 100mg, due to having some side effects from Metformin. I was always dehydrated since starting the medication and in November 2022 they found some protein in my blood. I have since had regular blood tests and went back to Metformin. My GP had emailed the renal clinic and they advised to be referred to diabetic clinic as they said it could be anything from infection, vasculitis, auto immune disease etc and the waiting time is 20 weeks.
Below are my test results. Can someone please guide me into the right direction. Do I have kidney problem or the high readings are because of kidney stones. I was in Surgical assessment for kidney stones and was advised PCNL. The waiting time is 6 months. Apart from that, I still don't know the cause of the below readings.

Feb

Albumin : 68 2
Creatine : 7.1
ACR : 9.6

June:
Urine Albumin : 264.3
Urine Creatinine : 15.4
ACR : 17.2

October
Urine Albumin was 15.2 mg
Urine Creatinine 6.5
ACR 7.7

November
Urine Albumin is 94.3mg,
Urine creatine is 12.0 mmol
ACR is 7.9.

Thank you,
Neha

Hello and welcome @neha09
I am sorry you are having such concerns, particularly as you have lost loved ones at such a young age with kidney failure.

Unfortunately, forum members are not able to give medical advice. So would recommend that you speak to your GP or medical team for further advice and reassurance. Of course if you have any symptoms that are causing pain or other immediate concerns seek prompt advice and treatment.

I hope you get the problem resolved soon.
