Good morning everyone,

I know this question may seem a bit silly, but I'd like to know if anyone can suggest why it might be happening please.

For a couple of weeks now, I have been waking early in the morning (not sure of exact time but I think it's about 5am, so an hour or so before I am due to get up) and just my legs have had this feeling of being quite hot but clammy if that makes sense. I have put it down to the warmer weather and so have started keeping my room cool, using thinner duvet and wearing cooler PJ's etc and that helps a bit, but I'm just wondering could it be linked to diabetes or is it totally unrelated? Forgive me for asking something that is possibly quite normal but since being diagnosed a year ago, I cannot help but notice little things more now and always wonder if there is a diabetic reason for it (very annoying, as before I would probably think nothing of it may even not notice it at all!). I have also recently noticed my blood sugar is higher than normal when I get up (5.9 ish) and I realise that most of you will probably suggest I test to see what my levels are early morning, but the problem is, when I wake with the hot clammy legs thing, it is only momentary and I quickly slip back to sleep (hope I am not just dreaming all this!). I will endeavour to test when it next happens, but in the meantime, does anyone have experience of this or know what it is linked too?

Many thanks for reading,
