No car I'm afraid. When an acquaintance brought me home from hospital in 2013 he was telling me he was renovating a car, he called it a Kit car ( you put it together ?) anyway he said he would call again and bring the car and take me for a ride, I was really excited. But he visited the next day, in car, but I couldn't go in an open top vehicle 2 days after an eye op, but I was able to sit in it. It was red in colour and very low down. So I was hoping someone will be able to tell me more about it ?
( unfortunately in the December he phoned to say he had terminal pancreatic cancer :( :angelic: :angelic:)

Kit cars are a great way to self build your own sports car, you can also buy them fully built. the most famous ones are the lotus seven.
This company is well known in the kit car business.Sport Kits Range - Westfield Sportscars

What was the first car you drove, and wish you owned it now. I save this Morris Minor from the scrap yard.

Thank you izzzi yes that looks like it. I sat in the drivers seat, to get a feel of the car, so low to the ground but it was so cool. If he had come round the following week I would of been able to ride in it. But unfortunately some weeks later things happened.
I hope others will show some photos's, I love looking at them

@izzzi
I used to zoom around in a grey morris minor (split screened) with
red leather interior (smelt gorgeous too) and a huge steering wheel .
It went like a little bomb too especially down the local hills and lanes .
Zoomed around our village - doing the local ladies hair do's in it .
I shared this car with my mum too .
We both loved it :) it never let us down no matter what the weather was like .

@anna29 This is a split screen that was my last completed car her name was molly, the engine did not need any work, just the seats and body. broke my wife's heart when I sold her last year.:(:) IMG_20130713_205607.jpg

I love the sound of the moggy exhaust, I saw one the other week, it made me smile.
My husband used to repair them, he made fibreglass front wings for them, because they rusted so much. He made them that well that you could not tell the difference. Strong, yes you could sit on them.

When I was 8 my dad bought a 1959 Nuffield tractor to launch our boat, well I fell in love and drove it almost everyday until I moved to the states in 2000, it sat out in the rain for 14 years with my dad constantly threatening to scrap her.

Here's me at 13 on her

It took me a month to get her unseized and fired up :)

Here's the first time she ran in 14 years

Here's as she was when I got home

And here she is now 2 years later, working everyday mowing grass, moving caravans, transporting stone...

This is a Lancia Fulvia 1.3S Zagato, much collected by enthusiasts of classic cars and not many were made. Mine was built in 1968 but I got it later in its life. This one is not mine. Mine had two bad accidents in its lifetime and it ended up rather crooked. The last I heard of mine was when I sold it at a classic car meeting.

I also had a Lancia Beta Spider - loved it but it was the most unreliable car I have ever had.
