Why cant I buy a pen but have to have a script? :?: :?: Am asking GP to change to Apidra and it would be nice to buy my own pen as I feel like an expensive nuisance.
Can understand not getting drugs etc but a pen is no danger to anyone

Just reference the Apidra I don't believe that it is going to be readily available for pen injections in the UK until late March.... I have had real problems getting hold of it recently and have mostly gone back to Novorapid until it is more widely available again!... pain in the butt because I really like it.

Its back again from 6 feb as stated on the sanofi site and asked pharmacist today and yes he has it now

Excellent! I may have to go pester my pharmacist then! Reference the pen I got mine from my local diabetes centre so not sure where you can get them from other wise.

Can't see why you would want to buy the pen when you are entitled to it free on prescription, you are not an expensive nuisance so don't beat yourself up about it.
