Hey spent all night trying to figure how to remove forum oicture lol .

Gee I shall sleep x

Can you remove me please I am sure I want to go thank you xxxx
 
I think you have to ask admin to close your account there is not an option to do it yourself which I personally think is wrong. We should be able to close our account without having to ask as it is our own choice. I have never come across this in any other group I belong to
 
I'm tagging @Giverny who may be able to help you. I wish you would reconsider and stay though.
 
It's on the radar Sharon Anne, and will be dealt with.

Should you decide you would like to remove your photo in the meantime, you can go to your Profile Page, by hovering over your user name at the top of the page. You will see an options for "Avatar". On that page, you will see an option to "Delete Current Avatar", which should help you out.

Gawd knows what happened there!

Anyway, I honestly don't understand this closing account thing, as any posyts you have made will still appear. Why not just refrain from posting any more if you'd rather not be here?

Genuine question by the way!

Mind I am so bad with computers I would spend eternity trying to close it .lol

And I will answer with a genuine answer .....
I don't often comment or make threads in fact very very rare I have no issue with my posts still being here .

I have not said I would rather not be here so I have no idea why you would say that .
I asked about closing my account I thought in a private message to a moderator in that message I also used light humour as I have no issue with the forum .
Not sure what more of an answer I can give as I don't post much I have only ever tried to offer the hand of friendship and on a night had a laugh with some lovely people on here in the "what are you doing now thread " .

There is my genuine answer .
 
Why not just not read or post rather than delete. You might need the forum in the future so best not to be too hasty.

If I ever feel like I want to remove myself from the forum (which is quite often lately) I just stay away and don't post or look in for a while til I'm in a better frame of mind.

Thank you yes I know that feeling lately .

I think the thing was I in my very bad computer understanding thought I had sent that private message to admin .
But clearly not lol.
I don't often comment r post unless it involves talking about all the naughty treats we shouldn't have after a night out with the girls at Erm Mr Macs lol .

This was complicated and I thought it best to go but thank you for your advice .

Hi. I assumed (logically, I thought) that as you wanted to close your account, you'd rather not be here anymore? I can't think of another reason why you would want it closed.
Anyway, sound advice about leaving it open. Just don't visit if you are upset/annoyed with something. Makes more sense, wouldn't you agree?
Then if you want to contribute in the future, you can.
 
Some people just like to have things neat and tidy. If I never use a forum or any other website for which I am a member I always like to have all my accounts and details deleted. I dont like the idea of having loads of accounts which I do not use. That's just me though. I'm very fussy and slightly OCD :D LOL... just thought of going to a bank and asking for them to close my account and them turning round and saying, no, sorry we cannot delete accounts!!!!! :banghead:

Sharon Anne, if you would like to retain a presence here, you could elect to have a change of user name, to something less able to be linked with you, perhaps? That would allow you to come and go as you please?

I see you've managed to remove your photo now, so hopefully that helps too.

We all sometimes step back for a while, when we become a bit forum-weary, or fed up, but it's good to be able to come and go without all that palaver of joining up again. It's your choice, obviously.

Edit to add: Sharon Anne, if you want to change your name, then just PM me, or just put something brief on here and I'll send you a message and you can let me know what you'd like to change your name to.
