I dont' know, but I reckon you could say the same about any fat that is solid at room temperature.I use Lucy Bee coconut oil which comes in a large jar. I had used almost all of the contents of the jar and there was a little left on the bottom which I couldn't scrape, therefore in order to use the jar for something else I poured in hot water and washing up liquid and left overnight. When I next looked the remains of the oil had risen to the top and was blocking the liquid from escaping when I had turned the jar upside down. Now if it was stopping the water from escaping would it also block your bowels?

I have coconut oil, but also have flax seed 2 heaped tesapoons each day and also chia seeds.
Since having this combination everyday my stomach has completely recovered from SCT slow colonic transit which can cause the most chronic constipation and the use of enemas.
By adding all those items in I now have no problems at all and discharged from hospital care. At one point I was going to be referred to the top chap in London to see whether an electronic implant may be necessary, so I was extremely bad.
Flax seed and the chia is responsible for my huge turnaround. I never go a day without it and my berries and double cream. Hugely better than being reluant upon horrible enemas and on occasions morphine...
I also use Lucy BeeI warm the jar from the outside when it's almost empty so I can tip the oil out to use it.
Coconut oil will be very runny at body temperature
Like most sufferers of diabetes I suffer from constipation and I also consume coconut oil, about a tablespoonful. Does anyone think it contributes to constipation? I have tried adding fibre to my diet but it seems to make it worse. Hoping that the oil doesn't make it worse.
