Just wondered if anyone here does drink coconut water. It is supposed to be the latest health drink and ok for those with diabetes

I've had some as a salt replenisher after exercise - doesn't seem to have any negative effect on me. Not as tasty as coconut milk though.

So is it ok to drink coconut milk then I use it in cooking but have never thought of drinking it

I have the occasional small glass of the Alpro original coconut milk, which is 2.7g carbs and 20 kcal per 100 ml.

they mean the clearish water inside the coconut, not the milk/cream that is obtained from the meat
but with the milk or cream, as well as using it as a topping for fruit, if put some gelatin/jello in it and make a desert by it's self

It seems to be relatively low in carbs so I guess that makes it alright but I see no particular reason to pick it over water either

I'm not a fan of coconut water. To me, it's rather nothing-ish.

Anyone who wants them can have the coconuts ripening on our trees at the moment.

Of course, you'd have to come and get them. It's only a 9000 mile round trip. :)

Iike coconut water as an electrolyte replacing drink after exercise. Usually the exercise of my wrist in a pub.
