cold and 12.2 bs

Hi All , been doing ok , bs been 5.8's 6.4's so quite pleased with myself, I now have a bit of a cold, hope its not going to esculate, I not had the flu jab, but my bs have shot up to 12.2 is this because of the cold? whats best meds to take? taking Rubitussin, at the moment..for cough thanks trand
 
Have just had a bout of it myself and was quite alarmed that my fasting went up a couple of points, now back to normal though. My meds consisted of cough medicine and an occasional hot toddy. Not much else that can be done with a cold except ride it out. Hope u r feeling better soon.
 
Hi trand I have had a cold and my fasting levels have gone from high 7s to high 9s does anyone know why this happens? I get ivy thyme complex for my cough it seems to work very well The one I get is by Vogel from the health food shop There are probably other brands available :D Hot toddy good idea too :!:

tried to get some of the normal cold remedy stuff 3 chemist said I can't have , as it will raise bp's and bs's bit noughty , also bs's have shot up to 14.7 :( will check again in the morning ,,, bit worried ?
