Cold and flu medicines

Any idea why cold and flu medicines are "forbidden" for people with diabetes (considering there aren't sugar or glucose or saccharose...etc inside):?:
I'm wondering because i just bought some and took them...
Do they react with insulin, prevent it from working or something..? :x

Try this,erroneous,but also ask your chemist/pharmacist before you buy OTC medications,they with usually be able to tell you or refer you to doctor.
