Cold Feet Question

Hi I have been diagnosed since 2010 and have been fine with my foot checks, last one in feb was ok. However I am starting to get feet that just feel cold all the time, I never have them bare but even with thermal socks they feel cold!!! Also I am getting what i can only describe as an electric shock sensation shooting up my upper arm every so often. I know these could be signs of neuropathy but is there any treatment for it. I am on Metformin sr and my bg's are normally round 7 - 10 mmols but i do get the odd spikes where it goes to 13 :( , hba1c's have been round 6.8% so far.
I'm gonna see the doctor next week but dunno what to ask him, whether to try diff meds or ask for meds to stop the cold feeling???
Anyone else had same probs and if so what did you do???

Just explain your symptoms to the doctor Shirl and take your bg readings along so he can review things.
 
Statistically it's more likely to be neuropathy than anything else, but keep in mind the doctor should rule out other conditions that can cause these symptoms.

There are treatments that may help manage the symptoms, and the best thing is to try and have your glucose levels as well managed as you can, with diet, exercise, the most appropriate oral meds for you and, if necessary, insulin.

Hi just updating lol

Since posting this question, i have been the doctors and i have 'golfers elbow', which i'd never heard of before lol. So got painkillers and anti inflammatory tablets, gel and stretching exercises :shock:
