Coming off pump for a couple of days

I am going on hols and want to disconnect pump for a couple of days soi think I need to take penjects at mid day and then take off pump a hour later is this correct not sure why but I spose so still getting basal for a while?
 
I just came off pump to go away the hospital told me to take the pump off when i take my long acting insulin Toujeo then when i next eat use my humalog pen. I took a couple of days to get the right dose.
 
I'm doing this when I go on holiday. The last time I did it I forgot that the basal will continue working for a while so you do need to factor that into your basal dose and any bolus' you do in the first 6 hours or so depending on the amount of time your insulin remains on board.
