Computer Help for Type 1s

This post is intended to be helpful and is based on my experience of a very effective computer programme that does 3 things. It takes in details of your meals, injections and blood sugar test results. It considers your personal diabetic profile. Then it advises what your blood sugar levels will be until they stabilise, along with how much more carbs or insulin are needed to stabilise your blood sugar at 5mmol/l. I've been a Type 1 for 66 years and have struggled over most of them. Then 5 years ago I found this programme and have never looked back. My blood sugar is always fine and so is my Hba1C. So why aren't I telling you what this software is?

The answer is I tried to do this yesterday and failed. I think my post was blocked because it included a link to the programme supplier's website. That's just a guess but I've found out since that forums generally don't allow links in case they're used maliciously. Fair enough. So I considered putting my email address in this thread inviting people to contact me if they would like any useful information; but I daren't do that in case a moderator blocks it for some reason. And I daren't name the programme I'm trying to praise in case I'm not allowed to "advertise" in this thread.

Perhaps someone in control at diabetes dot co dot uk would be good enough to tell me if I'm allowed to give advice on what's helped me so much and, if I am, how I can do it.

I signed into this forum (my first ever) yesterday with the sole purpose of giving helpful information. I'm very unhappy about the way my attempt to be helpful has been treated.

Thanks for the reply. No, I'm not sure my post was blocked but I can't find any sign of what I posted yesterday. And by the way, that's not what I wad asking. My questions were is it possible for me to give helpful advice about software that I have found so valuable in controlling my Type 1 diabetese, can I name the software? And do I have to describe it when the full description is on the supplier's website; can't I just quote the url for the product?

Right, things appear to be getting clearer. My forum style seems to have caused the problems. First time I tried one was 2 days ago and I was ignored on this forum and banned from another for "spamming" it seems. I'm not sure what spamming is and I don't care either. All I was trying to do was pass on in 2 forums what I believe would be more than just a bit useful to Type 1s. After the reception I got I nearly dumped the idea. OK, I've calmed down now. And as I see from some replies on this thread, some people are curious.
First, the introduction that seems to be wanted. I have been a type 1 for 66 years and have survived very well all things considered, still being able to jog 3 times a week to keep healthy and do all the other things expected and enjoyed. But all the years have included hypos. About 5 years ago David Mendosa featured an article on personalised patient glycaemic predictors and how they can help the T1. I've been using the one he mentioned since then and, although it might seem hard to believe, I've been absolutely fine since. Blood sugar stays in range, no serious lows and my Hba1c is fine. Without doubt this is all due to the extra help I've had from the predictor.
Rather than try to describe the thing, which I'm sure wouldn't do it justice, I just threw in the website thinking that to be the simplest approach. If that's not allowed then I hope I can tell you that what I'm using is called Pathfinder and it can be found by doing a "Google" search for pathfinder individual glycaemic predictor. And please don't ban me for this .....

Yes Spiker, I'm now looking at whether CGM is the best way to go and David Mendosa certainly seems a very reliable guide. Not sure though about the cost and whether I can afford it as the NHS doesn't fund it. So in the short term I'll be sticking with the predictor.
