Concentration and glucose level

Hi, my name is Maurice,
I would like to ask the forum about something that happens when I'm concentrating on anything like reading important mail, building models, or just trying to sort a problem. I have noticed that whilst concentrating, my blood glucose level drops, sometimes very quickly, and catches me out, resulting in very low glucose levels and on occasion leading to a hypo. Has anyone had the same thing happen to them?
Yours faithfully
Maurice McNelis

Hi,

Yes, this can happen with non-physically strenuous tasks or interests.
I read somewhere the average human brain accounts for 20% of the bodies energy consumption?

My cognative function & eyesight are usually the first to wave the white flag when going low..
