I like to set myself challenges to help keep control of my Type 2 .
So far it's working for me , nearly 4 years and still diet controlled . I do go off the wagon sometimes though because I'm human .

My latest challenge for me is confectionary free February , that will keep me focused .

I also plan to walk 4miles a day too.

Flowers for Valentine day instead of chocs, then?

Best of luck, you can do it!

I tried dry January and failed, I think it'll be a wet February too :)

My hubby is doing sugarfree February for cancer - as I'm already as sugar free as you can get I'm doing sweetener free February- no diet drinks or anything with sweetener. The only thing I have on a regular basis is small glass diet drink with my meal. Been making flavoured water for past few days and loving it - my favourite so far is cucumber and mint or strawberry and pink peppercorns - I use soda water as I like a sparkle

Good luck with your confectionery free Feb - 27 days to go :)

I think I'm probably doing the same thing as your husband just got the name wrong .
I'm usually good but tend to go off the rails sometimes and little challenges like this keep me focused .

How are you doing ?
It's getting easier , I had berries and cream with walnuts tonight , yummy

Doing ok - made a bit of a booboo with my fruit water - there was a bottle of diet tonic in the fridge that I used by mistake to top up my water instead of the soda water - only had a small glass.

Hubby is doing well - he doesn't have diabetes but low carbs 80% of the time - he likes to treat himself at weekend sometimes with a bit of pudding or a cake - he fights a battle with a really sweet tooth and some food issues hung over from his childhood - he's had nothing this weekend though complaining of a head ache - first week in for all of us we seem to be doing ok - love walnuts always sprinkle a few crushed up on my salad as croutons mmmmm

I was until a beautiful girl aged four offered me a liquorice allsort, how could I refuse

@Jamrox - hi how did you do? - I managed it sweetener free very well, haven't missed it really. Hubby did fantastically and lost a stone! - he was all set for having a treat today with a little cake, but he then realised its the first day of lent and being of Irish/Italian catholic descent he usually gives up chocolate and sweets - he's furious but too full of catholic guilt to be able to have his treat (or so he says!) lol

He's away from home all week and usually low carbs during the week but I bet he has his little treat thinking I won't know - but God will know hehehe
