Having had diabetes for just over 40 years I remember the pork insulin glass and metal syringes , no blood sugar test, urine testing etc.etc. I’ve got to say from a totally personal point of view I am so glad technology has advanced , to be honest if it hadn’t I think a lot of people who’ve had diabetes over 40 years probably wouldn’t be in as good health as they are , if about at all. I’m not a lover of certain so called “ specialist”, but they are sometimes a necessary evil . I’m not surprised your diabetes “ has gone weird” .to be honest if I hadn’t gone to any diabetic consultant , weird wouldn’t be a term I would be using. I suppose it all depends if the “weird” feeling is something you want to get rid of ? If the answer to that is yes then you might have to think of taking that trip to the Diabetes Centre
