confused and a bit worried

I'm a bit confused, my levels have been high over the last week or so, I'm doing my best to lose some weight (1/2 stone), going to the gym twice a week and also being as active as I can, before revisiting the doctor again for an assessment. I'm concerned having read it might be dangerous to excercise with high levels, I'm a bit dismayed because I was doing so well at the gym, now ironically the high levels (round 15) that I am trying to reduce, are possibly going to prevent me from exercising. Am I overreacting and should I just get on with the exercise?

Bit more info needed :) Are you type 1 or 2? Insulin, tablet or diet controlled? If diet...what is your diet like?
Someone worldly wise and clever-like will be along to answer your questions. Take a seat and make yourself comfy :)

I guess the metformin is a recent change - your profile says "diet only" :?: :)

Try 15 minutes walking every day. Doesn't have to be as strenuous as a gym workout. Really reduces my bg levels.

Hi Andrewa,
I'm type 2 diet and exercise only, all I do is walk my dog for a good half hour a day. Diagnosed Sept 2009 and I was told to loose a stone in weight. I take simvastin and I have lost that now, it is costing my a fortune in clothes but what the heck it's my health that's at stake. Try to eat smaller portions but more regularly. I have dieted nearly all my life and my weight has see-sawed, but hopefully it will stay off. Still losing weight now and I eat more now than ever before. Hope this is of some help.
