I took my blood after my meal (two hours) and it is 6.1
But this is what it says on here about the reading and I'm confused .
Your blood sugar is normal.
A reading of 6.1mmol/L after a meal is classed as hypoglycemia for someone with Type 2 diabetes (based on NICE recommendations).
hypoglycemia means low blood sugar doesn't it ?
On here .That's because if you have eaten the NICE approved high carb meal your bloods should be up in the teens...
Can you link to where you saw that particular hogwash please?
On here .
Well I am well chuffed with 6.1 shows my lchf is doing the jobA reading of 6.1 is not hypoglycaemic. Possible misprint perhaps?

Yup, I tried with your numbers and it said the same. Who is going to send a mail to diabetes.co.uk to tell them their blood sugar checker may confuse people and may lead to people eating extra to correct a nice value of 6.1?
