Type 2 Confused [emoji52]

Hi all, woke this morning feeling very confused and with the shakes and a cold sweat! Bloods was 8.7mmol/L first time like this! Is it a hypo/hyper or just feeling ****?

If by "first time like this" you mean you normally wake up with a lower blood sugar, then it could be as simple as a "normal" illness, which does raise blood sugar quite considerably, potentially much more than your current reading.

The *confused* bit is worrying though, and the thing which would make me want to see a medical person ASAP.

8.7 is high, certainly not hypo.
 
My bloods ranges between 7.3-11.1mmol/L first thing..... must just be some sort of virus!

It may just be your body getting used to lower blood sugars levels than before ... Unless you have a bug or a virus to explain the symptoms.

If you have recently started low carbing then it may be a reaction to lower carb levels - cup of hot bovril/marmite might help. It may take a few days to settle.
